You can easily get these materials by visiting your nearest home improvement center or lumber yard. Since you’re going to install the subwoofer on a truck, you have to make the material thick enough to absorb shocks bought about by bumpy roads and heavy load. Your truck subwoofer enclosure should be as sturdy as possible. It’s also recommended that you install a subwoofer with a big cone area of sound in order to take advantage of the thick material that you’re using. Bigger subwoofers perform best with thick material.

Before closing it up, pad the inside thoroughly with polyester fiberfill to amplify the subwoofer bass sound.
You’ll also need to connect minor wiring to ensure that your on-board audio equipment connects well with the subwoofer. You can place the subwoofer on the steering board, or somewhere near the pedals. That way, you’ll feel the majestic boom of the bass every time you go for a ride on your truck.
